While acetate is naturally water-resistant, prolonged exposure to moisture (like in a bathroom or humid conditions) can affect the shine and integrity of your hair claw. Try to keep your claw away from water, especially hot water. If it gets wet, make sure to dry it immediately with a soft cloth, paying special attention to the metal parts.
Step 2: Store with Care to Prevent Impact
When you're not using your hair claw, store it in a separate box to avoid scratching or bumping into other hard items. Though acetate is durable, frequent impacts can cause damage. Wrap in a soft cloth for extra protection.
Step 3: Regular Cleaning to Maintain Shine
The glossy finish of your acetate claw is one of its most charming features. Wipe it regularly with a soft cloth to remove dust. For oil or stains, use mild soap and water — avoid harsh cleaners that could damage the material.
Step 4: Handle with Care
Acetate claws are sturdy but deserve gentle treatment. Don’t twist or pull roughly — especially around the spring. Gently open and close the claw to prevent damage to the mechanism.
