Artifact Inspiration: Owl You

This piece is inspired by the Owl You, excavated in 1956 from Erlangpo Village, Shilou County, Shanxi Province, China. The Owl You is an exquisite wine vessel and a masterpiece of late Shang Dynasty bronze craftsmanship.

In ancient China, “Owl” (鸮) referred broadly to owls and similar birds. The Owl You is beloved for its charming design, which resembles the playful style of the “Angry Birds” characters, earning it the nickname “the cutest artifact”.
